Special Projects
To further enhance MASER’s involvement in the Power sector, the company has incorporated three subsidiaries:
- Maser Power Producers Limited (MPPL) – Focusing on International power plant projects and related ancillary industries.
- IS Energy Sdn Bhd – Concentrating on other Independent Power Producer (IPP) projects which included Renewable Energy Plants in Malaysia and South East Asian Region.
- IPP Venture Berhad – Established for the purpose of involvement in large-scale power plants.
Through this Division, the company complements the Malaysian government’s policy of encouraging use of alternative energy resources. In this connection it is involved in Investment, Development, Ownership, Operation & Maintenance for plant sizes of 10MW to 1000MW ranging from Open Cycle Turbine, Combined Cycle Gas Turbine, Thermal Power Plants (Oil, Gas or Coal-Fired), Co-generation Plants to Renewable Energy Plant (Biomass, Wind, Waste to Energy) for local and overseas markets.
The Special Projects division’s impeccable record of achievements speaks the volume of its success. Recently the division has secured contracts for the following projects :
- 10MW Biomass Power Plant at Phu Khieo, Chaiyaphum Province Thailand
- 2 X 7MW Coal-Fired Power Plant in Nunukan, Kalimantan Timur Indonesia
- 10MW Hydropower Plant at Krueng Peudada, Aceh Indonesia
- Development of Mini-Hydro in Sabah JV with Sabah Energy Corporation (SEC)
